"I've been kidnapped" | Ferry Tales.

in #ocd-resteem7 years ago

After a long trip and a short but fun weekend, it was time to go home, I could swear I did not want to leave that beautiful island. Feelings of nostalgia undermined my chest, after I had to say goodbye to a place so welcoming and hospitable people, that even deep down they did not want me to leave.

I wondered how being so far from home was able to not want to return to her, you could imagine the tranquility and happiness coming from that Island. I promised to return, I just did not know: the accuracy and whether it would take a lot or little time.

I arrived at the pier when the sunset fell asleep on the horizon and I took several pictures while I waited for the departure time. The hours passed quickly almost unnoticed, I got on the ferry and looked for a comfortable place where I could breathe fresh air while watching the lights of the island move away and vanish. I lit a cigarette to break the knot in my throat.

A young man approached with a desperate voice, he asked me for the lighter with a cigarette in his mouth. "You saved my country, I forgot to buy a lighter," he told me. His eye was bruised, swollen and almost closed his eyelid. I missed it for a moment but I wanted to see it as something natural and tried not to ask myself what happened to it. I replied: "Don't worry bro, here it will be if you need it ..."
While he was smoking in the same place, I asked him where he was from. He let go of the resentment with fear in his eyes and told me:

"I'm from Caracas, brother. I don't want to come here anymore, I'm going to emigrate from Venezuela. I was kidnapped 15 days ago, I was eating in a restaurant and when I was going to start eating, seconds after the innkeeper left my order, three men arrived and they pointed me discreetly, and they said "Walk in front of us and do not see us, or we kill you right here. " I walked with fear and helplessness and they took me by force in a van, I shouted "help", but to my disgrace, nobody was close. They tied me up and beat me, they even stabbed me, look, I have my arms cut off, so you can see that it's not a lie.

They called my dad with the threat that: if they did not get five dollars and that if he warned the police, they would kill me. I gave up on being unable to do anything, being in that situation caused me to die, that is a horrible despair, brother.
For a week I was tied by the hands and blindfolded, they only took them off when I went to the bathroom and with luck I listened after screaming. I was in a room that only had daylight in a window, they only gave me bread, yucca, cambur, tomato and water.

I was going to die of hunger, I told them to kill me at once but if they had it, they would not get money. I think they were police (PTJ), because of the movements that have come and how to speak, also those are the first criminals. They were days of physical and psychological torture, I preferred that they had killed me. I only spoke with my dad once when those bastards called him, the only thing he said was: "Quiet, I'm going to get you out of there." The only thing I said was: "Dad, I can not take it anymore, help me, blessing", and they hung up the call. I could swear to you that I felt I was going blind, from crying and not seeing almost light.

Well, my brother, then fifteen days later, in the afternoon, I was released on a road far and alone, blindfolded, the only good thing was that my hands had been untied, I do not understand why so much evil. So, I did not know what to do, I just walked to see if someone would take pity and get me up. That is the worst thing that can happen to someone. Those damned ones will one day pay for it! After walking 1 hour and a half, my dad came to pick me up, since the kidnappers had told him where they had left me.

It is too much trouble, until two days ago I was more traumatized than today, I have to go to therapies because at night I can not sleep, I can't be in a place just because I'm in crisis, now I smoke two boxes a day. That changed my life, I want to leave here right now, it feels too frustrating, my corduroy. The unhappiness has gone away but that horrible memory will take years to be erased, I hope it never happens to you."
