You managing people. people who are paid to to a job. But if it is just a job to then you will never get their best..if they come to work looking to clock in and clock off and do as little as they can and get away with in between, then you are doomed to fail.i tell you....
on the other hand, if they come to work looking to enjoy themselves, looking to be stretched, challenged, inspired, and to get involved, they you are sure of getting the very best of them..the trouble and the down fall of your entire team depends on you. always ensure you lead them, motivate them, and get them emotionally involved..
To get you team emotionally involved is very easy.all you need to to is make them care about what they are doing, and that easy too, you have to show them how important the job they do is to other human beings, and let them know that they can rich out to touch other people by what they do here at work...get them convinced because you are saying the truth..that what they do makes a difference and contribute to the growth of the societies rather than you just be the highest shareholder. ensure that the chief executive gets a big fat pays cheque......
though it is easier to show how they contribute if you manage a nurses than an advertising sales team, they can find the value in any role and instill pride in those who do what ever job it is....NOTE that those who sell advertising space are helping other companies, some which may be very small reach their markets. they are alerting potential customers do thing they may have wanted for a long time and may really need. they are keeping the newspaper or magazine afloat as it relies on ad sales income, and the magazine or newspaper delivers information and gives pleasure to those who buy it.
Get them to care because that an easy thing to do. look this is a given.everyone deep down want to be valued and to be very useful. the cynics will say this is nonsense, but it is true a deep down true.just try to reach deep down far enough
and you will find care, feeling, involvement and responsibility in every individual.drag all this stuff up and they will follow you not even knowing why.......
