The last time she'd hold a hardcover and paperback.
(I was going to do a poem but it's harder now)

It's been over a month since I last held and read (I'm not even going to say completed now) a book. A part of me wants to feel bad but then I ask myself - have you read this month? Yes, I have. Have they been audio books? Yes, they have (so I've listened then, huh). Have they been E-books? Yes, they have.

So why do I feel bad? Why classify hard cover books or paperbacks as "actual books" and the rest as nothing. Imagine reading E-books and listening to some only for me to come here and say I haven't read. I don't want this to be long 😂 The point is - A book is a book and learning is learning. Don't deep it.

Trust me, I enjoyyyyy paperbacks and hardcovers a lot but I've had to give myself the space and grace to enjoy my new culture and not shame the other forms of enjoyment books come in.

Until the next time I hold you, stay beautiful baby.
