The beginning of the year is always a good time to reflect on our relationships with family and friends, but it can also be an opportunity to consider our relationship with our instrument and music as well.

How were our practice sessions in 2021? Were they many, perhaps few? Were they successful, or maybe frustrating? For me, the relationship with our instruments is the relationship with ourselves. It needs lots of love, patience and
respect.

In the same way that we have proposed to accept the differences and to get closer to our family and friends by 2022, let us decide to respect our learning and musical growth process. May the scales never be a suffering and,
on the contrary, may they become a space for individual reflection, for a reunion with oneself.
May this year 2022 be filled with health, joy and lots of good music.
