Hello and good morning all,
Today I'd like to share a difficult piece that's out of my comfort zone.
A Buck bust with real antlers attached.
Like they all do this started off as a log standing up...
Unfortunately I didn't a photo of the log beforehand sorry.
Here it from a couple angles all chainsaw and in the raw...
A few details in the focal points..
Then on to attaching the antlers...
Customer provided the antlers, he had to steal them from his boss. The sculpture was a gift from him to his boss, the avid hunter.
Had them fit snug here, now ready for sanding..
Oddly enough, my favorite part of this carving was that "S" curve at the base.
Next up was some light torching and paint...
A few angles for your viewing pleasure...
Customer was extremely happy with it, and so was his boss..he even forgave him for stealing those antlers lol.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I saw, if so feel free to upvote and reblog. I love what I do and I'm happy to share here on Peakd. Please do stay tuned as I have much more to share on this awesome platform.
Thanks for looking,
Jon
