Today I'd like to share a piece I carved last year.
This eagle and fish was blocked out by CNC machine and gifted to me by another carver on my birthday a couple years ago and it sat in my shop for awhile before I could get to it.
It was made by machine, mass produced from an original design by my good friend and fellow carver Abby. If you look closely, you can see the wings on the backside, the head on the front. All I needed to do was cut the wings off and attach them into the slot that was there.
Here it is cut, and attach with another piece added on the bottom to give it a good lean.
Cleaned up the base to get it ready for burning, sanding and paint.
And finished!
Sold it the next day to a very interested customer.
