Hello and good morning all,
Today I'd like to share a piece I carved a couple years ago for a good customer I never got a chance to meet.
The standing moose...
Here he is in the raw and all chainsaw..
Added the antlers but something wasn't right about them..
Trimmed them down a bit and they were still off, at least to me they were...
Cut them off!
This was one of those pieces I had to set aside for awhile and come back to..
Finally, I simplified the antlers and they were a better match. Next up torch and paint..
A little brown and some black with the airbrush to make it pop and it was just about done.
Some white for the eyes...
It was an order and for some reason the customer had to cancel. So I put it up for sale on the Facebook page, not long after I was contacted and asked if I could deliver it to New Hampshire..sure thing, load up..
Delivered successfully to a place where nobody was home. Apparently this was a summer camp for some people from New Jersey.
It was just the wife and I on this trip and since we knew our son was in good hands with the babysitter. We decided to get a room 😉 and go out to dinner.
Here we are pictured with wildlife at a local restaurant..
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I saw, if so feel free to upvote and reblog. I love what I do and I'm happy to share here on Peakd. Please do stay tuned as I have much more to share on this awesome platform. Thanks for looking,
Jon
