A neighbor of mine used to have two macaws that sang the national anthem together. Very loudly. They also gossiped and laughed like two middle aged ladies. They were hilarious.
Lol oh my word that is great, I would have loved to see them singing the national anthem! I'm always amazed by how intelligent they are. I learnt recently that parrots come from the same branch of evolution as hawks. Hawks developed a more solitary hunting skill, and evolved other characteristics that helped with that, evolving to be a top predator. Whereas parrots developed more socially and communally, turning their intelligence to working together and looking after each other, developing an astounding emotional capacity and surviving because of it. Reminds me of another animal ;)
