OCD DAILY - Issue #196
Welcome to the 196th issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #196 highlights content from ten (10) Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steemit to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found ten new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Steemit users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience, and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
Today’s Top Nomination is an awesome, fast paced, energetic 8bit/metal song from @degitx. This song had my foot tapping like crazy for the full 4 minutes! @degitx does an awesome job incorporating both 8bit and metal aspects to make one cohesive and fun song to jam to. Give it a listen at the link below!

In our next post @liquidtravel reminisces on The Magic Bus Company and their Magic Bus Tour to Niagara Falls. This was a budget travelers perfect tour bus, low on amenities, but big on fulfilling your needs as a traveler, this was the perfect bus tour for someone that really wanted to get their money’s worth. From free samples of ‘ice wine’ to an incredible ‘Mystery Stop’, the Magic Bus Tour had it all. Unfortunately the bus company no longer exists in it’s original form, but you can enjoy the tour as @liquidtravel did in the post below.

In our next post @aksounder introduces us to two unique cameras in his collection. The first is a Twin Lens Reflex camera that offers the photographer some amazing benefits, including the use of medium format film, which as @aksounder explains, “made square frame photos cool way before Instagram.” The second camera is a bit of a transformer and seems to have come from a futuristic sci-fi movie. It is the Polaroid SX-70. This camera folds up on itself making it one of the sleekest cameras I have ever seen. Take a look at both cameras and learn a little more about each by checking out the post below!

This next post by @lishu does a fantastic job explaining The Sharing Economy in an easy to understand format. The post goes through how this new economic model differs from the previous ownership model where only a few had control of a lot. @lishu does a great job explaining how a sharing model puts the control of goods and services back into the hands of the communities that need these goods and services. Learn more about The Sharing Economy at the link below.

Our next post is a discussion on why @msendija1 decided to draw her self-portrait. In her own words she wanted to draw her self-portrait, “to show the world something from me and what I have inside.” One of the great things about artists doing self-portraits is the audience has a chance to see how the artists view themselves from the inside out and not just how they are seen by others. The self-portrait @msendija1 has done in this post definitely gives us a look into how she sees herself, check it out in the link below.

In our next featured post @wordtreasure discusses how being forced to speak English instead of her native German introduced her to an entirely new world. This discovery included learning that there are certain words that only exist in either German or English, and that the connotations surrounding the way something is referred to in one language may influence a person’s feelings towards it. Read more about this interesting experience in the link below.

Check it out in the link below.

Our final post today comes to us from @amikphoto. In this post @amikphoto gives us an extremely in depth look into the history of the Greek city of Thesaloniki. From it’s founding 315 BC to the rebuilding of the city after World War II, @amikphoto covers it all. You’ll know more about this city than you ever thought you would after reading this post. Oh, and at the end @amikphoto treats us to a photo tour of the city that will have you feeling like you just visited there yourself. Check it out at the link below.
