OCD DAILY - Issue #870

Welcome to the 870th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #870 highlights content from 10 Hive Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout OCD community to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.

Our curators found 10 new pieces of original content on OCD community! We strive to find works that are created by newer Hive users, that may not have the audience and the information about available communities that fits better for their content.

@OCD strives to help Hive users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content to find audience and the communities where their content would fit better.

The @OCD nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users) in the @ocd community within 24 hours. The curator will leave a comment to the user encouraging them to post in communities where their content would be a better fit.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Hivers your support and encouragement. And we'd like to remind you once more, don't forget, try and submit your content to the more appropriate communities before OCD unless you feel it doesn't belong in any and is original content that works with our rules.

If you enjoyed their work, give them a follow or maybe even say Hello!

Another Fucking Growth Opportunity

My daily walks around the local wetlands are deeply nourishing. The wetlands teem with life. Hares hop around and frogs croak loudly, especially after the rain comes. Birds of all varieties roam around. If you're at the right place at the right time, flocks of starlings appear in the sky, usually during sunset.

And then you add the touch of human goodness. City workers pump out excess water from significant flooding as a result of the recent Cali storm. Community volunteers and environmental orgs work on restoration wetland projects together, which are always fun to learn about when I pass by. This spot is mainly used by locals, so I usually only run into one or two people, if at all.

Travel Blog - My first trip to Japan - Cars

During this time in my life, I was working for a car company based in Japan 🇯🇵. And I was more enthusiastic about cars 🚗, in general. So I took a lot of car 🚗 pictures 📸 and went to many events with colleagues centered around automobiles 🚗.

8 Months Of Striving and 4 Months, Surviving.

Just when I thought I had moved on and to some extent got “settled” on hive, I got a message from Courserep that the strike has been called off. On the 17th of October 2022, the strike which lasted from February to October was called off. It was more like a shock to me. I already gave up on following updates on the strike 4months after the strike commenced. The news of the strike being called off came with a lot of mixed feelings. One part of me wanted to be done with nursing school while the other just wanted to breathe in the fresh air in a country where nobody knows me or let’s say I just wanted to disappear.

Relationship on a Rebound

I bring you another relationship experience of mine. This time a relationship that started as a rebound. Valentine's Day is right around the corner, so I will attempt to keep the vibes going.

I have heard many people say it's not good to jump right into a new relationship after getting out of one. If I was giving advice to someone I would probably say the same thing. Getting into a new relationship to quickly can be unfair to your new partner. In my case I think my rebounding didn't affect
this relationship.

A day at the National Museum of the Dominican Republic

I haven't posted anything here in a long time. Changing countries has made me somewhat stressed. And well, the post that I bring you today is based on my life in the museum. The "natural history museum" was built in 1974, opened its doors with part of its exhibits in 1982. It is an autonomous institution. It has several samples from almost the entire Animal Kingdom.

Friday Free-Write

Friday afternoon. I find myself in a teachers’ room sitting at a desk that faces a map of the neighborhoods surrounding the school. It’s divided into numbered and color-coded districts, from one to twenty-six. Students are gathering in the hallway outside of the office to clean. Their shoes squeak as they walk across the floor, and their voices ring out, some are muffled and echoing in the distance, some are near and clear.

My First Relationship

Hello Hivers I give you an article themed with the month of love, February. Well there's one day anyways that a lot of us celebrate, Valentine's Day. Alright this was quite sometime ago, 1994. I had been on quite a few dates and even had a few short relationships prior to this. The one I'm going tell you about now is my first long term relationship. Well it's not a happy ending but it did teach me many lessons and even changed me some.

My Voluntary Teaching Experience

It was a great honor to be part of the just-ended NYA volunteer program. As a graduate of Agricultural Technology, teaching mathematics and integrated Science was my least-expected first job after National Service.

I Built A Chicken Coop and Run With Recycled Materials And On the Cheap

After a little thinking, I decided to take the half-hour drive and collect the chickens, but I had a problem, I had nowhere to keep them.

My original plan was to acquire 6 chickens, but when I got there I found that there were 8, so I took them all.

I got them home and housed them in the rabbit run and cages, and even though this wasn't ideal the chickens made themselves at home.
I got them on Sunday, by Wednesday I had my first egg, and since then I have been getting 1 a day.

I Snoozed It Into Friday

I laid there with my eyes still closed as that reality set in hard. Phone Hell week, not only is it Monday, it's Monday of phone hell week. Our client's monthly bills went out last week. Soon they will start calling in to address issues with their bill. Some will be their mistakes and some will be ours. It use to be that the majority of the mistakes were theirs and easily corrected. Now, since covid and since our company has the same issues as other companies of getting good help hired, trained.... and to stay, a few more of the mistakes are ours, not half mind you, but more than it used to be as the folks on our front end can't seem to enter the info they are given for some reason.

We hope you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from these posts. Do not forget to try and submit your content to the more appropriate communities before OCD unless you feel it doesnt belong in any and is original content that works with our rules. You are allowed to cross-posting from other communities to to get visibility from OCDs subscribers as long as the original is posted there. Keep up the great work creating original content!

Thank you so much @ocd for finding my article worthy. I’m pleased. Meanwhile, I read through twice and I’m not still cleared as regards the 10 selected articles and the curators. I’ll appreciate if you can explain more to me.
