This is a Top Week for me as a curator @ocd, because out of the six curation days we work each week, I found one post to nominate each day, and they also all ended up in the daily @ocd compilation post.
100% curation score!
I want to have more of these weeks :-)
Check out the posts below, and learn about the beauty of handmade nugtrays (I honestly didn't even know what that word even meant before reading the post :D) or check out how one Steemians makes a book cover for another Steemian.
Enjoy, and see ya next week!

A handmade ceramics candle holder made by @olgy-art shows us what one can make with relatively few materials. Especially the cutting of shapes in the still vulnerable material requires a lot of practice I'd guess - Go take a look for yourself, the end result is gorgeous!

With everyone thinking about SteemFest in Bangkok, here's a post that might show you another side of Thailand! The one where Surfing is the major activity - or is it? Can you actually surf in Thailand? Or are the Nay-Sayers right that you can not surf in Thailand? Find out through this post from @betterthanhome!

The new fence of @fixedbydoc was a real community effort, with friends, neighbours and kids helping out. Very satisfying to see a group of people build something for themselves!

Very cool to see Steemians work together! Here @dutybound explains how he made the cover for the book Fireflies:Pupa, which was written by @dreemsteem. The wishes of the author were taken into account while creating a visual masterpiece - which looks pretty cool! Congratz to both of you for this collaboration!

For those who don't know the work of @hanedane, this is your chance to look into it a bit more! He makes nugtrays, and works with lots of different kinds of wood. Today he writes about spalted maple, which is one of his favourites to work with. Spalted refers to marks left by fungal decay - which makes for interesting patterns on the wood and therefore in his work. An interesting read about a craft I didn't know a lot about before reading this post!

The musings of @sukhasanasister are always complex and deep, and often triggered, at least that's how it looks like, from fragments of life, an art piece, a line on the radio, maybe a picture taken in the back yard. This time war and coffee and books and empathy are the ingredients mixed into a reflection of life - her BBC radio teaching her, amongst others, that her day will be so much less troubled than that of millions of others around the world.
