“My friend as my teacher.”

I was attuned in Reiki (Japanese healing modality) practice by my friend, whose an artist, and curator.

We met because of my indigenized Tarot card created by Ms. Brenda Fajardo (artist and educator). He was recommended by my friend whose also an artist, to reach out Lex to know more about the cards, since his using in his readings.

He witness my spiritual journey, since I was attuned to his lineage.

Last night, I consulted him about the confusion that I experienced recently, because of different healing modalities that I explore and learned.

The session reminded me to be more rooted in my foundation “my unique self”.

My reflection on this are be consistent, honor myself, learn when to say yes and no, and fulfill my commitment as a devotee of the spiritual group that nourish my spiritual growth.

Having said that, commitment to a spiritual path needs an counterpart in the physical reality. I remember the advice of my friend who practice Kabbalah (ancient teaching of torah) that give a spiritual tithe to the practice that nourish one spiritual growth.

Decolonizing the tithe (freeing from the concept of dominant, patriarchal, capitalism mindset).

Decolonized tithe is seeing this as an portion giving to an group, institution, or people that helps you grow as an individual.

Whenever I received a blessing, I am more inspired to give, and gift.
