As Ben and I sit down to watch The Kings Speech, we felt it was time to reach out and wish you all the very best for this Christmas Season.
As most people, we've taken things a little easier today, a lie in with Christmas movies on in the background. As I prepped our Christmas feast, Ben headed out into the garden to clear the area behind the garage ready for the new shed we have coming. I have to laugh at how excited we've been about the latest addition to the Planetauto household.
It was even a Christmas Eve adventure that saw us heading out in search of cement for this - it meant we ended up buying lots of short dated yogurts, but it's all part and parcel of the run up to Christmas Day.
With presents exchanged, we gathered to eat way too much food today, and settled down to watch Wallace and Gromit do battle with Feathers McGraw once again.
As we reflect on the New Year that is just around the corner, Ben and I send out love to our family and friends who cannot be with us today. For those that are with you, we are sending our very best wishes to you on this holiday - whether you celebrate Christmas or you don't - the spirit of this time is one of peace and goodwill, and we sincerely hope that you find yourselves safe, warm and well fed, surrounded by your loved ones.
As the evening winds down, Ben and I have found ourselves down the rabbit hole of BBC iPlayer, and are re-watching the Motherland Christmas Special...Mein Kraft, anyone? If you know, you know...
Seriously - if you've never watched Motherland, do yourself a favour and watch it. It's hilarious.
