Only just become familiar with the term off grid but since becoming aware
of what it actually means I realise that I have always been a fan ie I want
somewhere dirt cheap - I don't care where it is that I can live safely with a roof over
my head and be able to grow my own food and live a self sustaining life.
Guess WHAT-- I had chosen BULGARIA for a full year and a half only to find it regularly HAS EARTHQUAKES!!
"Earthquakes are not uncommon in Bulgaria and small tremors are recorded throughout the year. The most seismically active areas are: Krupnik, Blagoevgrad, Sofia, Maritsa, Shabla, Veliko Turnovo and Gorna Oryahovitsa areas."
Apparently there has been two really big ones one of them in sofia --which was 9 on the richter scale
Its funny that all my research about this country had not uncovered this earlier. in fact if you go to the
website where i found it
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-in-bulgaria
it was way way way down the list if you bothered to read that far well AFTER HEALTH BENEFITS and taxation :-)
So I bet you are asking if I have changed my mind--well not really, i'll just go a little to the left or right of
one of those regions depending on what crops up
any tips advice on living off grid will be most appreciated
seeya!
nine on the richter scale huh?
