Above is a longish video of a full day of me cooking on my rocket stove last summer and below are some photos of me cooking a full breakfast on it another day:
Though I have to wait until Mr. Rain is done sealing our decks again, I am looking forward to pulling out my rocket stove and doing more cooking and baking on it like I did last summer. It was really fun trying a new way to prepare meals that requires so little fuel. I even did some water bath canning on it at one point. I am going to try some pressure canning eventually, though that one scares me a little more since it is important to keep the temperature consistent, but I know others of done it and succeeded so I simply MUST give it a try!
I will certainly be posting more updates on rocket stove cooking once I am able to start it up again so I hope you all will stick around for those updates! :)

Here was a test run of the core I had made for a rocket mass heater. I've since boiled water over it using wood pellets for fuel but haven't had time for an updated video.

They really are great and made here in the US. I believe the Stovetec is made in Oregon so when we bought it several years ago, it got to us in only 2 days. We are in WA state

Hi Heidi, its Sharon I followed you over from youtube. Trying to figure out the new format, Hard to do for us older folks. Been interested in the rocket stove, looks handy. Do you like this better than youtube?
There are a lot of things I like much better here. I have no intention of leaving youtube, however, I love how I can take my videos and then add more to them in a blog layout like this. This is a good way for people who prefer to read more than just watch videos and if they want to do both, then it is there for them too.
I like the format, I just don't understand how things work yet.
