How to build a Wind Turbine part 1 (resin casts work Stator)

in #offgridliving6 years ago (edited)

This is a 3.6m or 1.3Kw wind turbine build. The first stage here is the making of the alternator parts which consist of the Stator and Magnet Rotor parts. The first part to make is the coil winder to create the coils for the stator.WP_20181106_002.jpg

The coils are shaped to fit into the space as close fitting as possible which helps keep them spaced well

Each coil should be weighed to ensure the same length of copper is usedWP_20181108_007.jpg

Eventually all the coils are done and positioned in place to allow soldering them together

Before the next stage a Stator Resin Cast Mould is needed to be made

Wait a little time to allow air bubbles to rise before placing the top piece of fibreglass before placing the lid.

The Stator is removed, cleaned up and checked

The next stage is the Magnet Rotors to follow..
