Will this mean that we have to start every post with, "Back in the day," or "Well, when I was that age"? ; ) I'll have to practice my #oldtimers way of shaking my fist at the sky, too, lol.
Sorry I haven't seen your posts in my feed in so long, @old-guy-photos! I'm getting swamped in my feed. I'll have to start heaving some of the flow over the transom, I think.
Yes you will need to start yelling at any boys in the neighborhood that step a foot on your grass. Of course you also need to tell stories of how walking to school was uphill both ways LOL!
Would love it if you used the #oldtimers tag some. I have seen how nicely you interact with folks and that's exactly the type of people we need in the tag!
Yes indeed we are all having to develop a method to handle the influx of new people. On one hand it is great to see, but on the other hand I hate for Steemit to lose its small town feel.
Oh, you are already thinking about the 'Good Old Days' on Steemit -- that's a real #oldtimers perspective, alright, lol! I'm hoping that that small town feel will return when Steemit gets communities, too.
In the meantime, I'll have to gin up some memories of those cold Michigan winters, from when I lived there, like only #oldtimers can remember! Or when we could catch so many smelt running up the Au Sable River that we filled the pickup truck bed and cleaned them in a washing machine! Well, I'm not quite that much of an oldtimer -- that's what I heard from the oldtimers when I was after the smelt. I just filled 5-gallon buckets and cleaned them by hand, lol.
