However, evolution continually takes the piss out of pathogens, because win/lose economics is outcompeted by win/win economy. This is why the West has risen to primacy geopolitically, and why such blatant malevolence is obvious in the attempt to rein it in and master the world. I submit that evolution is imposed by the laws of physics, and even attempts by those afflicted with hubris because of their marginal superiority to most of us will themselves be inevitably prevented from success by the superlative intransigence of evolutionary forces.
Because of the economic superiority of benevolence, good people dedicated to their mutual prosperity will surmount even the most malevolent evil, regardless of their status as evil geniuses, because mere human - or even inhuman - genius simply can't compare to the omniscience that informs the laws of physics. Evil psychos can, and will, cause horrific suffering and democide by the polycrisis they impose, but the greater economic power of mutually benevolent people supporting one another in times of crisis will inevitably prevail.
The right thing to do is the strategy that will rise above the studied machinations of madmen seeking tyrannical powers, because mutual beneficence is stronger economically than even alliances of evil potentates, whom cannot resist the lure of betraying their evil minions and deranged crimelords with whom alliances can only be temporary for that reason.
