In hope of the herd gaining free money from Bitcoin’s next clone, OMG, like most other alts, has taken hit in market value. Since its peak of almost $13 it’s fallen more than 50% and today’s price is floating around $6.36, and I’m going to lay my crypto reputation on the line and tell you it’s a bargain, and if you buy and hodl, you will win massively.
It could go down even further, of course it could. While we all wait for the Bitcoin joke to blow over, all alts could fall further, but the truth is, we don’t know exactly when the money will start flowing back into alts. Remember August 1st? Alts started rising just before then, and caught a few people out. So, take the risk of getting OMG for under $6, but you might miss out.
It’s ATH is double what it’s at now, and any alt worth its salt will get back and beyond its AT$H, I have no doubt. And OMG is definitely an alt worth its salt. Founded by Jun Hasegawa, Donnie Harinsut and Vansa Chatikavanij among others, OMG is an international payment platform that is set to be launched this year.
Omise, OMG’s parent company, is already a well-established fintech company and has a solid working model already in place. They have many business partnerships, such as MUFG, McDonald’s Thailand, and the Thai Government, to name a few. Once their Blockchain is launched this year, it will be the birth of the OMG payment-processing platform, and in the years to come, it’s going to totally disrupt financial transaction industry (worth up to $3.5 trillion per year).
As we all know, Blockchain is going to make business much faster, safer, and cheaper, and once OMG’s Blockchain is up and running it will make payments much faster, safer and cheaper. As has been since ever ago, people using Paypal, VISA, Allipay etc, must have an account for each one, because each of these companies have a closed payment network, meaning they can’t connect with each other. They do this so they can charge massive amounts to their customers. OMG platform will be an interoperable system, allowing payments among all platforms, thus making it so much easier for people to make payments.
You may think: ‘Why will people choose OMG over traditional payment providers?’ Well, bear in mind that there are about 2 Billion people who don’t have a traditional bank account. OMG don’t require you to have a bank account to make payments. What’s more, OMG will significantly lower the costs of transactions. Already, Omise has a payment network that is about 50% cheaper than its rivals, so why won’t people move to OMG rather than carry on getting ripped off.
Already being a well-established fintech company puts them well ahead of most fintech blockchain companies, and so does their star-studied advisory team: Vitalik Buterin, Joseph Poon and Dr. Gavin Wood. These Blockchain heavyweights have advised OMG all the way, and OMG are even following Ethereum’s model.
Ethereum is a platform that allows other Blockchain hopefuls the chance of creating their own Blockchain application without having to start from scratch. Well, OMG is doing the exact same thing but for payment processing blockchains. Using OMG platform, developers will be able to build their own payment-processing platform without the need for building it from scratch.
There’s more: OMG is going to use the Proof of Stake system. For one, this will help stabilize and grow the price. What’s more, when the Blockchain is launched and payments are being processed, any OMG token holder, who is staking their tokens will receive a percentage of each and every payment transaction across its Blockchain. If OMG takes off, which I believe it will, that will be a hell of a lot of payment transactions.
Crypto is volatile, and alts the most volatile. Especially at the moment while the herd goes in chase of the “free money.” OMG will bounce back. In fact, $13 ATH is nothing compared to what it will become over the next few years as we watch OMG grow as a platform, company and in value.
Not gonna like, i was like OMG when i first hear of this...
It is going to earn a lot of people a lot of money in the coming years.
One of my favourites! A good post, and I agree totally: People are going to be surprised by the timing of the money going back into alts.
Yeah, the herds will always chase the free money. All this BTC bullshit doesn't sit well with me. I think there's going to be a sting in the tail somewhere.
I jumped on this move too! Great post!
Thanks, mate. Buy and hodl; you won't lose!
Great project. Yes we have to get through this bitcoin fork. We still have to keep an eye on the Wall Street money that gave it another pump this week.
I hear WS are behind this fork.
