Addiction - Original Acrylic Artwork

"Addiction" is one of my latest artworks. It is part of my newest series, "Passion" which consists of 12 acrylic artworks of different sizes.

"Addiction" is a 20" x 20" acrylic on gallery stretched canvas and is available for purchase. It is currently exhibited at Ambigu Gallery in Montreal as part of a collective exhibition named "November is not grey!"

This new series is a bit different than my previous work, it's bolder, brighter, warmer. It portrays a new start. It sends positive vibes and attracts through its organic feeling.

I had lots of fun experimenting with acrylics. If you ever tried playing with fluid acrylics, you know how addictive it can get. Not to mention how messier it can be if you are not planning to reuse the excess of paint that flows off your canvas.

Few months ago I learnt that I can use a jumbo silicone mat in order to collect the paint that drips off, let it dry on it and then simply peel it off. Sometimes those paint skins that I peel off the silicone mat have such a beautiful pattern that can be considered a piece of art on their own. I have incorporated some of them in other paintings but I may as well use them in a combination with resin and create some unique jewelry. How knows what else I'll come up with?
