Hi Hive folks,
I already have a couple of large tattoos, one on each arm, that wrap around my upper arm and shoulders. But recently a series of serendipitous circumstances led to me organising to have two more large tattoos on the back of my calves on my lower legs.
Circumstances are that I am a blood donor but recently I had two anaemic results in a row (tested by my doctor and everything is fine) but I am not allowed to donate for a year and in the UK you can’t donate for six months after having a tattoo, so a perfect time to get one.

I knew I wanted a dinosaur tattoo but didn’t know what or where I wanted it but then I saw these design ideas by Brett and thought that they would work for me, so I asked him to make me a couple of designs. ![2B4B066F6C4840C6938576158725DE52.jpeg]()
And finally I believe in supporting local talent and covid has prevented tattooists from working for months so I wanted to do my bit by employing mine now so he is still around in the future, I encourage you all to do the same, buy local and buy now.
I am also a great believer in getting people that are more experienced and talented than I to do what they are good at, so my tattoos have all been designed by the awesome tattooist and friend of mine Brett known as Anokzone on socials.
Essentially I tell him what I want and he does the design, I pretend I have some input, but usually I ask for my suggestions and alterations to be undone as Brett’s skills and tattoo designs are en-point and my suggestions tend not to improve matters.

My right is an imagining of an enormous prehistoric ten tentacled decapodiaformes (technically not an) octopus known as a pohlsepia mazonesis. ![75B6432A91B741008A8FB445CD227E58.jpeg]()

My calves are going to be abstract designed dinosaur skulls
My left calf is of a coelirosauria therapod species known as tyrannosaurus rex. Which was started this week.![63DF5AABA64E493C8B0E0EF4593353E3.jpeg]()
My right is going to be a ceratopsidae species known as a triceratops. Which will be next, before adding the colour at a later date.![09147E10750A4797A90A1EAEEE5EF7A9.jpeg]()
To honour my new dino tattoo I watched Jurassic Park while undertaking the drinking game where you have a shot every time the camera zooms in on Dr Alan Grant’s (Sam Neill) face, it’s harder than keeping up with Withnail and I.![9DB7B3F402D5440DA91C0D570B87F9CA.gif]()
Those are impressive work. I don't have any tattoos myself as I don't know what I would have. I think a lot more people have them lately, but I like to see something original.
I couldn’t decide for decades...
hmmm how did I not know about this hmmm
Ha ha one has to keep some secrets
indubitably

Incredible designs. I had a couple of hours in the chair 15 years ago, and I'm happy with just the one, but I can see how they'd be addictive. Look forward to seeing them on skin.
Yeah I know what you mean, I have gone a fair few years between tats - glad I did one leg at a time though, my ankle swelled up like a grandma’s on a hot British summer’s day
