One photo every day: Teach and learn (316/365)

in #onephotoeveryday7 years ago (edited)

Hello!

Looks like the branch just keeps on extending as far as the eyes can see.

Today after working out at the gym, I was at Mukkula manor, having some quick lunch spicy chicken wraps and a ham croissant from Lidl (I know I didn't start my nutritional renovations very successfully today, @omsoc) with @MarkkuJantunen, trying to shoot birds and stuff.

When we got there, and had walked to the scenic pier we noticed a beautiful swan, and I suddenly realized I had forgotten my camera into the car. So I decided to run back to the parking lot to pick it up from the car. What a mistake... ;)

Having exhausted myself doing upper body workout all morning, and not yet having eaten anything after breakfast, every cell in my body was crying after I had reached my car. I think I was practically dying. But when I finally managed to crawl back to the pier, the swan had flown away.

After eating the wraps and having a nice berry fruitie shake, I did try getting some photos of the barnacle geese further North the beach, but the reach of my lens just quite didn't make it. I also didn't have the energy to get any closer to shoot them properly. (Read: I was just being lazy.)

Anyway, I settled with enlightening Markku with some new ways to look at photography. As we all know, what's in the ground isn't the only thing that is interesting, and the whole isn't built without the smaller details. Knowing that Markku has already been studying the rule-of-thirds and composition, I asked him to see specifics from the totality, or the smaller picture in the big picture.

And to look up.

Above!

There are times we photographers can get stuck at watching what's in front of us, while missing all the interesting stuff that's above us, or below us.

I'm going to cut this story short because as always, I need to get some sleep. My day was a long one, and I was told by Allyson that I must lengthen my sleep times because the muscles need rest too to grow stronger.

So I'll be back tomorrow then. See ya, and good night!

Yeah it might be a good idea to extend sleep if your muscles seems too tired! Anyway, if you feel too much tired after a gym session, better talk with the instructor again!
It's unfortunate we all missed one of the great photography of SWAN! But you had a chance to get few great photography!
Good night Jaro!@gamer00,

Cheers~

Not to worry, you got them while flying that is indeed cool ;)

While the nature has its own way of showing its beauty .

Perfect shots buddy.

Regarding the geese - that's a fine shot, you caught them with a great wing position, nice & low over the water and with reflections. The chromatic aberration is not visible on my screen when viewed at the default size (Steemit or Flickr). I have to zoom in pretty tight before I see it. I know that can be removed in software, but I've never really learned how myself.

Yea I like the wing position and reflections too. The photo is already heavily cropped, and I still wanted to get a closer reach. Cropping further would eventually make the quality suffer, like you said about zooming it. It's just that this is not the type of picture I can make wallpaper prints out of, and that's what I'd really like to do.

I know that can be removed in software, but I've never really learned how myself.

Me neither, I haven't been able to remove CA even with a software that claims to be able to do it.

@gamer00 - Sir nice to see you again with beautiful nature photography... I hope you're doing well Sir...

+W+

All is good. :)

Lovely work regardless of your long crawl, hahahaha. You'll get there, soon you'll crawl a lot faster.

Sometimes the simplest thing when captured in the lenses and when you observe it later at home says more than the picture. And I can feel the same thing right now after finiding that shot in this article.

OPED is going great and everyday we are storing value in steem blockchain in the tag #onephotoeveryday by @gamer00.

Thank you.

Of course there is the ubiquitous...shoot up the trunk lol.

Yes, that too. :)

what a beautiful day sir👌❤️❤️. as always beautiful photographs 👌❤️❤️

the swan's flying. Cute couple. Better spring shot instead.Don't be disappointed @gamer00. I know you tried to took every beauty moments and shared to steemians. You got massive experience via forgotten camera. Next time sure you'll pick up it. But glorious capture taken of

What a day, you are very good storyteller, take it easy with the gym intensity, if it really affects you, but you have to admit that trying to take a picture of a tree and its branches and make look nices is not easy to achieve.

that branch must have a century and those geese captured at the right time! good foticos and excellent weather

Your photography is always superb.... in the first one ... this branches of trees enlarge their hands together for long term.... and the second one is really nice and excellent.... flying things are so difficult to capture...you are capable to captured ... that’s great.... and I noticed that in the third picture..... this trees branches looks like the net which touches the sky and covered .....

Yes brother. the muscles need rest.
And despite leaving your camera and not being able to capture the bird.
You could take very good pictures.

swan photo click. You told true. Probably we had miss chance to get better clicks with tired. Adorable spring clicks under best weather condition. Those trees beauty without leaves.@gamer00, You'll need to get rest coz you're tired with gym activities and pain cell in your body. But finally took tremendous

The second and third photos are very nice and calming while the first one looks rather frightening!

Oh! You’ll need to have some healthy snacks on you while you travel then!!
Very interesting points you were discussing about, the ability to look above and below!!
I still have a lot to learn!
Please sleep a lot more and take it easy!

flying geese is a sharp shot, but photography number 1 is the best shot. impressive photography @gamer00

@resteemia

It's useful to train oneself to look for golden ratios in everything. I looked at some of my older photos and noticed that I've already made some progress. I need to get round to searching for a suitable used camera body.

Effectively!
When we turn and look at the past,
It is to realize where we are in the present

I like these a lot! The weather seems really nice. And you do need a good amount of sleep to rest after training. :)

Seems I'm the only one lazy these days. I'm preparing my mind to come back to sports.
Just one more lazy week and I swear I'll go!

The hell with those two geese, are they practising duo figure flying for the next Olympic games...
That tree... I Thought it's anaconda, but it was just a tree! Thank god it was a tree because if it was anaconda you would already be inside its tummy lol.

It seems that it was a laborious job but with good results, your photos were excellent. I do not know about swans but I think they do not wait for you to look for your camera if it is too far away, so you were lucky. I am a follower of your friend Markku. your invitation in discord since I find it interesting. Thanks for the support. Greetings!

There are times we photographers can get stuck at watching what's in front of us, while missing all the interesting stuff that's above us, or below us.

So basically anyone in a horror movie is a photographer? lol

Why do I imagine those geese talking to each other like two pilots using their pilot slang. I always knew I'm weird :O

It's true, sometimes that happens to me without being a professional photographer as you are, many times I feel that I get lost in that space just by looking forward and leaving aside other ways of seeing.

The photo of the goose couple is super cool

That first picture looks like a creepy arm extending out to reach someone... especially with the moss growing up/down his arm.

I used to love on TSU a comment often used: Look to the Sky! It actually taught me to look up often when clicking away.

Spicy Chichen wraps? Hello? Tell me the plan you are on. ;) Good night and yes! Sleep is essential!

Tip!

Oops, I think I made an error there. For some weird reason I though I mentioned the ham croissant, but then I hadn't. I wonder if he thinks I'm a bit daft now. ;)

Superb photography @gamer00. I think hunger takes away the focus required for creativity. So, it was good decision to eat something. :)

I really liked the picture of the geese - although you violate his privacy- they are having an appointment jajajaja

Greetings jaro -good vibes for you

Nice photos gamer. Don't over do it. I would be worse than you. I will most likely start trying to get fit again but it is not easy.

A one dedicated man on life and Steemit, an athlete with great discipline. So I can see you ..

Interesting pic of tree branch , branch is very long and moveable .
