Holy shit. What a time to be alive! This experience has been amazing and I am thankful to be here. A lot has happened since my last post. Here's an overview:
I won a sweet Rebel Bot from the monthly gleam giveaway, the new RebelBots.com is live, and the team just dropped a massive BOMB - partnerships with Ubisoft, Overwolf, and 9 others!
Thanks to my biggest sale, I was able to transfer assets to my cold wallet and join two new communities with interesting projects!
BYOPills loaded 3D models for Apostles and they look AMAZING. BYOCrafts are coming soon and we even found out there's going to be a racing game for us in the BYOVerse! The team has also announced BYOWear.

Gleam giveaway
Giveaways have become a part of my journey. I've won a BYOPill (this exposed me to the project), a SkullPvnk, and was gifted a Secret Society of Whales NFT. I ended up selling the pvnk and whale to steal my 4647 ranked bot for .07. And now I've acquired a new Rebel Bot via the monthly Gleam giveaway! Wow! Never have I ever won so many things.

The website has been redesigned. It's so smooth and pretty awesome. Follow the prompt and you will be given a brief but descriptive and visual appealing story of how things have come to be in the Rebel Bots universe. As usual, the artwork does not disappoint. Don't miss the interactive section that allows you to change the parts of the in-game bots! They want this to succeed, it shows.
The Xoilium Land Sale page has me really fucking pumped.
Investors are revealed!
We've all been eagerly awaiting for this news! For some time now we have just been living on guesses but on 1/18, the Rebel Bots team blows us all away with some amazing investors!
That is fucking awesome! Ubisoft? For real? That's big. I know they have been looking at blockchain technology for gaming for a little bit. Its great to see a company like this endorse a project like this. People over there see the vision! Oh the possibilities.
August 5th to now
Just 5 months since minting Rebel Bots and we already have all of this going on. This game has the potential to pull in Axie Inifity numbers, if not, greater. I think it could grow and eventually explode just like @Splinterlands has. Maybe I'm just biased and hopeful, but so long as things stay on course, I couldn't imagine anything other than success here. Rebel Bots taking play to earn to the next level!

Took a risk for more opportunity
6 Rebel Bots is a solid army, no doubt, but after a few days I started bouncing around the idea of selling my lowest ranked bot.
There were some things I wanted to do, like transfer my remaining 5 bots to my cold wallet, mint a new project, and send my wife some surprise Eth. Believe me it wasn't a super easy decision, but I haven't taken much risk yet at all and this felt like a great opportunity to take some with the ability to still be ahead if it falls through. Once it was decided I followed through and listed my Red bot, I minted on day 1 for .02 E. Within a few hours it sold on the floor for .362 E ($1145.88)! I won't look back.
When I got home I transferred the others to the cold wallet, sent my wife some Eth, and went on a mission looking for projects. I passed on a bunch before Chubby Kaiju DAO crossed my path...
Chubby Kaiju DAO
I won't lie, I think they're cute. Joining a DAO sounded fun and lots of people I know were hyping it up. The website/discord has all you need to know about the project. Perhaps not the best research, but screw it. I picked one up for .129 E.
Not even a few days I'm in and I'm already using my voting power. There's a vote for construction of our Sandbox metaverse hangout to begin! Cool stuff.
A bunch of other proposals are in the discord server, we will see what this community ends up doing. This community is ambitious. It could be for you, give it a look! At the very least, these Chubby Kaijus are adoreable and fun.

I could have bought more Kaijus, but that's all I was willing to throw at it for now. I was looking to mint fresh for the best possible price, so I kept looking. After going through a few more projects, I stumbled upon The Odd Dystrict. My wife and I went through all of the material and decided to mint!
The Odd Dystrict
The concept is unique and oddly attractive. If you take some time and go through the discord/website you will see what I mean. The team is extremely talented, transparent, and active! The artwork is absolute fire and the artist, Dave Freeman (Derog), is a tattoo artist in real life! See his Instagram and gaze in awe. I've never seen tattoos so detailed. Check out this video of Fluffy (the Oddy above) being created.
While going through some AMA recordings on discord, I listened to a part where the team said that they were 3d/game dev capable and as opposed to buying land in another metaverse, they would most likely build their own 3d metaverse! There's already a sneak peak 3d model that look awesome.
I really like what I see. It was easy for us to make the decision and mint! They just started the public sale on January 14th too. Got it just in time.
Oddy mint and reveal
The gas fee for minting my two Oddys was about $50. Not a single person in discord complained about the gas cost as the team has done a very good job with the coding. They are super efficient it seems. The displayed gif for the unrevealed Oddy is pretty gnarly.
Reveal day rolled up real fast. I've been eagerly awaiting this reveal since Monday. Lol a whole two days 🤣. It's been difficult containing my excitement. Anyway, around 2pm EST the team started the reveal process and Open Sea started chugging. There was some latency/issues on Open Sea but within an hour or so, mine went through! Looks Rare didn't seem to have any issues. Check out my two new Oddys!
I think I did pretty good! Love them both. Not sure which I like more but I'm leaning on #2613.
My wife's turned out awesome! She minted a mummy wrapped #2612 with some alien looking External Eyes!
A good move
Going in on this feels right. I dove into Rebel Bots because of the artwork and team. Same thing here. If they stick together and continue grinding on this project, I have no doubt we will see another completely uniquie and fascinating metaverse that will have people placing tempting bids. It feels like this was a good move. Let's see what the future holds!

No regrets
I can confidently say that I won't look back on this, I have accepted the fact I could have had 6 Rebel Bots instead of 5. Yes it could sell for 10x one day, but ya know what? I had 5 before and I have 5 again but now I have 2 additional lands and 3% higher revenue. Plus I was able to jump into two new projects, transfer my bots with the Ledger, and get my wife started with her own!
I'm just beginning. This was merely a step in a direction I feel I should go and it feels great. Big things are in the future! Soon there will be eth, $Xoil, and $Tryp coming my way. I hope it works out and I am able to really do some big things. We all have a dream of some kind - part of mine is to simply be able to live without stress or fear of the finances. To be able to have the time and energy to focus towards the things that actually interest me. Many share that same dream. WAGMI.
This space has taught me that anything is possible and that amazing things do happen. If enough genuinely good people get together and create something special with the intent of making people happy, it tends to change lives. Other good people become drawn to it and the community begins to grow. When the team is talented as hell, pulls off each phase and delivers, the community only becomes stronger. These are the projects I want to know about!

BYOPills going hard
These pills are making a ton of noise in the space. Here we are another project that is half a year in and has been non-stop killing it. Crushing. This team radiates intense passion, vision, and talent. They have a deep respect for the community and for their baby. It shows. Play to earn never looked so majestic... so AAA... until now.

Apostle 3D models
They allowed pill holders to mint free BYOKeys awhile back. The keys were then used to mint an Apostle (see my previous posts). The models were the standard portrait style from mint up until a few days ago. On Friday, 14th of Jan, the team started updating animation videos to reflect the new 3D models.
Like 4 hours later and my 3D Pyschonaut is live!

If you haven't been following BYOPills I strongly recommend taking a gander at all of the media out there on it. You won't be disappointed. One day, all of us will be running around in the BYOVerse collecting $TRYP with these masterpieces! That is so fucking cool! I'll be scheduling off from work a few days around release, haha. That would be cool if I could live stream my first moments of the BYOVerse.... hmmm...
BYOCraft drop incoming
Soon, we will have the BYOCraft drop. One pill + one vape = one craft. We are talking about unique crafts that will allow our Apostles to race and earn in the BYOVerse! Yes that's right, RACE! See komodochas' post in Discord.
Bring it on! I've been playing Star Wars Racer on Nintendo Switch recently and I swear that game brings back a ton of awesome feelings. It was so epic when I was a child. Speeding around Tatooine 400mph+ was so exhilarating. Something tells me that speeding around the BYOVerse is going bring about similar feelings.

Everyone always expects just T's and hats for merch. Those are definitely awesome, but I did not expect this!
That would be awesome to see a radar detectable jacket I could use for snowboarding. Not that I'm ever near avalanche territory, but I could be one day! Haha, anyway, I'm ready for some BYOWear!
A BYOMoment
The floors are rising and the thrusters are prepping for further blast off. I wouldn't be able to get in it at this point if I wasn't already here, so I consider myself fucking lucky. At this point, to get a set (pill, vape, apostle, land) its a few Eth. The people who have helped me in my "BYOJourney" know who they are. I am incredibly grateful and I thank you.

Such hype! There's so much going on. Every so often I'll be here posting about all of this play to earn and web 3.0 stuff. I really enjoy having this blog as an outlet for these things and I hope I bring some good insight to the table for everyone! It is my intention to continue down this path in this space and create something substantial. I don't know exactly how it will unfold but we will find out together!
