RE: The Philosophy Of Building ONO - Introducing The Rube Goldberg Machine!

in #ono7 years ago

I'm so glad that I didn't see the video until after I read your post.

That was intense.

It's been a while mein freund. I'm glad that you are still around, I havn't really been engaging that much this last month. I don't know much about Uno, most of the data I have learned has been from your posts and resteems. It is interesting to say the least. I've tried looking info up on the net, but have not had much luck the few times I tried.

As concerning your point. "Would I be here if not for the money." I think that those of us who are awake to the corporations cashing in on our "personal data," are just a bit tired of not getting our cut of the deal. I don't think that one should concern themselves with any sort of moral objection to seeking some sort of "reward" for engagement. For at least a decade these companies have been milking us like cows, there is no harm in expecting a percentage of this milking. I'm a bit more concerned with those who willfully except being a commodity without expecting some sort of compensation for it.

I would like to one day see a platform that allows long term rewards for substantial contributions. Like a place to share works that don't have a set time for viewers to reward them. I'm not really sure what exactly this would look like, but it seems that one day this may be a reality. It may not be Steemit, or Uno, but one day a group will create a network that allows us little people to produce and consume data/writing/music/laughter/and social interactions while reaping a long term benefit in doing so. Otherwise why would we even engage in the long term.

Don't mind my ramblings. It's good to read your works again. Have a great day.

Wow you are still here! Yes indeed, it‘s been a while! ^^ I almost don‘t spend time on Steemit anymore.

I think ONO will be more like Facebook. It will be very much about getting in contact with people. Engaging in communities. Something I find very hard to do on Steemit.

Have you tried Medium yet?
@Stellabelle is publishing there.
Maybe you can share and promote your work by using several platforms. Would love to see you successful with your work.

I will add some links for you.
