I'd be happy simply if the bot-owners shunned spammers, but it's very likely their bread and butter so to speak.

Last I knew - I was in the top 1% of steem holders - that's insane, as I have a relatively small amount. So even in the 1% of steem holders, distribution is vastly skewed.

I read yesterday that 1/3 of all steem is tied up in bidbots. Imagine if that steem was used to build others up instead of rent-seeking :)

I did some reading and Ono is hiring so I have emailed them....long shot!

Your stats on Steem holders make me bummed about the platform. Imagine if they start to dump their Steem?

I change my statement to 1 percent of the 1 percent!

I change my statement to 1 percent of the 1 percent!

I really did try to start a trend during my steem delegation spree, but no one cared (except FTG) and no one has followed my footsteps... That was 2/3 of my SP lent out! :O

Imagine if they start to dump their Steem?

Could be healthier in the long run, but also cause massive panic and bad public perception :(

I thought your Steem delegation spree was pretty dang awesome by the way!

Thanks, I bet the top whales got together and made fun of my attempts over some Buds ☻

Great point. It would be good to have the community be able to invest in some cheap SP!

I had a lease delegation and I actually lost money on it overall...like renting from a slum lord LOL

So I guess there are only 35 whales out of almost 1 million accounts (many are bots and fakes, I'm sure)... That's holders of over 500,000 sp by definition (?)

I'd like to see more of a middle class here :D

You nailed it! It is all about the middle class. Steem is mirroring what is happening in Western society where the middle class is being eroded by the upper class.

Have you read the whitepaper?

I've read some of the whitepaper... I'm waiting for the movie to come out ;D

But really, I need to keep on reading --

It is on my list for sure...hmmm...movie version! Count me in! Brilliant idea that white papers could evolve into videos. Makes sense to me!

Just have Morgan Freeman read them with a soundtrack by Danny Elfman :)

I have been talking about some kind of governance ever since I joined steemit, I'm glad people like Dan have actually considered it

There is SOME level of governance... for example, you can only comment every 20 seconds. Without governance, you could comment way more than that!

You are right that there are some good rules based governanance protocols, but likely there needs to be some human authority at an admin level.

I think so, someone stepping in to quell the spam insanity would be fantastic!
