Why not use a coin that already has a field of application? Why does it have to be a new coin?

You mean like EOS? The onyxcoin approach is online marketplace which is mostly exploited by middle men in the name of extorting users with crazy transactions fees like Mpesa mobile money for example. Its community driven too.
