Re-Think Everything -- Thoughts on the Human Revolution

in #open-source8 years ago

People I respect tell me this could be the foundation for the next World Brain -- people helping other people, self-governing, free of tyrannical government, creating wealth without destroying the planet and the future.

I am a former spy, original friend to hackers from 1992, founder of the Open Source Everything Engineering (OSEE) movement (see my book The Open Source Everything: Transparency, Truth, & Trust, and free online, my Memorandum to Vice President Biden at http://tinyurl.com/VP-OSA, and the other supporting papers that I may port here, on Applied Collective Intelligence).

Electoral Reform is my other big cause, I have been a Libertarian since 2009 but Libertarians don't really want to win or they would play better with others, so I ran for President as one of three accepted candidates for the Reform Party in 2012, and learned a lot. My six minute briefing to Occupy went viral on Reddit, and I subsequently did outreach with a lot of folks and created a twelve-point Act that we could still insist on for 2016.

It is now known that Bernie Sanders was cheated out of the Democratic nomination by Hillary Clinton doing massive electoral fraud documented by Stanford University last week. It is also known that the Libertarian and Green tickets could force the issue of Electoral Reform into the public consciousness this month, but refuse to do so -- right now they are running token ego-based candidacies. If we forced the issue of Electoral Reform, which includes Instant Run-Off, we would actually make viable a Johnson presidency, especially if he embraced my other ideas (online Fantasy Cabinet, public-driven balanced budget, end to all taxes replaced by the tiny Automated Payment Transaction Tax that hits the now tax-free Wall Street currency and stock transactions), and more.

I have not given up on America the Beautiful and I have not given up on the possibility of all of us creating a prosperous world at peace, a world that works for all. Separately I have calculated how open source solar energy, open source water desalination, and open source agriculture, along with open source communications and education, can create a thriving society out of dirt, sunlight, and seawater, for a one time cost of $500 per person.

The only think standing between us and a bright future is our political apathy and incoherence, and the organized corruption of the 1% led by the two-party tryanny that blocks 70% of all eligible voters from ballot access, voice, and vote.

My personal meme: "the truth at any cost lowers all other costs."
