After a 5-week hiatus, I've decided to take up the courage to participate in another #openmic competition. People that have known me for a bit knows that I hate failing, I hate to lose, I just totally suck at it. So while growing up, the 'brilliant' me decided to put the least amount of effort to prevent myself from experiencing those negative feelings. Well, looking back, that mentality has definitely not brought me anywhere.
So now that I got my wife pretty fired up to do covers, I felt it was a good time for me to give it a go. Of course this time I approach it in a slightly different manner. I aim to have fun myself and produce a feel-good feeling for my audience as well. If you have not known, @silviagoh simply adores Bruno Mars, and it just so happened that @stephhchia actually requested for this song, we decided to do it this week. Ok, I do know this is actually Adele's song but we love the rendition Bruno Mars sang and assumed my future sister-in-law shared the same taste. 😜
