That's amazing! It has a great guitar part and a beautiful melody. Even the momentary fret buzz adds to the effect (was it deliberate?). I don't listen to many of these entries 10 times!
Oh wow thank you so much Andy that really means a lot to me.
It's so hard for me to post live videos of myself because I'm painfully shy, but reading a comment like yours makes it worth it.
When I was practicing I kept hitting the 5th string too hard during that part of the song so I decided to just keep doing it. :-)
Haunting... as I'm sure your experience shall ever remain... Very well crafted, love your guitar - just wished your vocals would have occupied a more dominant space within the mix... All n' all - GREAT!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. Over the years I've known several people that really don't like this song because it is so dark. I get that.
Wow! There are very few songs that immediately make me want to listen again. I just have and I had initially thought the same as some of the other comments about the vocal/guitar mix, however on reflection, I feel it adds to the haunting atmospheric nature of the piece. Terrific contribution to OMW42. 👏👏👏
p.s. I also think it's good to be able to read the lyrics on the open mic originals especially when they are as important as yours.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind comment. It really means a lot to me that you wanted to listen again!
Also, thanks for your comment about the haunting atmosphere, I agree. :-)
Well, that was a delicious bit of melancholy!
If I might make a suggestion about the volume of the vocal track, if you could sit in a position where you are facing the microphone while you're playing and singing, I think the vocals will be a bit more upfront. Just a suggestion.
The lyrics are strong while your voice remains soft. I like that combination.
Definitely following for more. Keep posting!
Thank you for listening and for your kind words! :-)
Beautiful song! But most important, beautiful way of releasing those negative feelings that woud've been stored inside to if not released.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment :-)

Man this is dark (I understand why). The music, melody....you captured some pain. Well done, good luck this week!

Sometimes one needs to dig into the darkness to get it. Thanks again for sharing and good luck this week.
Thank you and good luck to you as well :-)
Thank you for taking a listen, I appreciate it.
Very cool, strangely it makes me think of a James Bond movie intro.
I can hear that! Thanks!
Oh I love this and the lyrics are great! Thank you for overcoming your shyness and performing :)
Thank you so much Julia! :-)

I had a little bit of a hard time hearing/getting the vocals on this track, the music was very nice though, and enjoyed the time spent on it.
Thanks for sharing. <3
Thank you so much Sammo :-)
Love the individual notes you pluck in time with your voice. Great job

Thank you :)
Yes, the mic picked up too much of the guitar and I was too tired to redo it.
I can understand that. Sometimes, you just don't want to mess with it.
Thanks for playing Steemit Open Mic.
