I fucking love this—the song, the performance, the layers of complexity... but also the message in this post. I tend to neglect my practice. Sometimes I don't touch my guitars for months. The last few years, as a mother of young children, my instruments were left in the closet the majority of the time.
But now I've got them out. My kids are actually asking me to play them songs! And it is so good to let the music flow again.
I appreciate you writing about the differentiation between dreaming and being.
