RE: Steemit Open Mic Week 145: Just a Few Days (original)

in #openmic6 years ago (edited)

Even if it was good. Which in my opinion it was not. Good content does not have to be force fed to people, they will come to it like a moth to a flame. I don't take kindly to things being force fed into my feed. I came here for decentralization as it was advertised (I was given this account and was happy to take it due to being told it is the opposite of YT/FB).

This centralized decision making was not a part of the business model a few months back when I began using Steem(it). They are changing the rules in the middle of the game. And the customers who began playing under decentralized rules (which were nearly everyone who signed up), are being run off with centralized bullshit decision making. If they want to rise above FB, and YT, they need to set themselves apart from those platforms.

What makes Steem(it) special? Why is/was it unique? What niche did it have back when it was thriving? Why has it tanked and lost users?

The only thing it had going for it that really made it special was decentralization. Most people came here to get away from FB, and YT.

I am sick of logging in and seeing random stuff on my page that I am not interested in.

Perhaps a person hates heavy metal. I am sure they don't want to log in and see heavy metal content at the top of their feed! Maybe another person is a vegan, I am sure they don't want to log in and learn about how to BBQ a juicy steak, etc. I am sure you get my point.

Regardless.. because of this crap, I as well as thousands of others are leaving, and will not be spending a penny further on this shit show.

Wish you all the best.
