Steemit Open Mic is an online, live music venue to give musicians a chance to share their music with the Steemit community and get their music heard. It is growing larger every week thanks to all of you.

The number of entries shot up from a record 365 last week to a new record of 771 entries this week! Of those only 380 qualified.
Not all of the entries are in these posts though.
Due to the sheer numbers of entries this week we have only picked 336 of the best ones to put in these posts. If I included all posts it would require over 7 posts to do so. That's crazy numbers guys! Everyone who had a valid entry was supported even if you don't find your post in these pages and I hope you enjoy the diversity of music from around the world this week.
There have been a flush of new accounts downloading people's valid Open Mic entries, uploading them to a new YouTube account, and posting it as their own performance on their multiple Steemit accounts. Those will not be included and I have muted those accounts.
If you find your video posted on someone else's account, please let me know so I can mute them from my feed.
To the scammers doing this, muting your account means I will no longer see your posts so you are wasting yours and every one elses time continuing down that path.
We put a new rule in place that is designed to stop scammers, not singers as some people seemed to have interpreted this post.

So my question is what happens with all these many entries? @luzcypher and truth is many more entrieswill emerge each week. Photo verifcation would have been good to flush scammers each week.. Strict rules should be adhered to whether one can sing or not there shouldn't be pity. We all should learn how to read up the rules for each week and follow them that way it looks more serious and we would all see competition in it rather than staying relaxed
I also feel like most of us arent taking challenge seriously. Lets learn to read the rules and updates for each week and am here to them strictly. To me.. If you would ask for my idea to make this better its already in week 67 dont know if would count but still here is it.
Let there be a given amount of time for everyone to sing to just like in American idol auditions, 60secs clip be done with acapella to get those that are vocally good and are musicians (its a restriction).. I know how stressful it is to watch videos of over 500 people and most come out as scammers. We need to flush them forever not just weekly. There should be a list of people who has been up and doing the challenge for a while now and met the standards then new persons will indicate that its first entry. So that you get Familiar with all comers and new people. If possible let there be a shortlist of people who did well and those people should continue till another audition for a new week comes up. It going past just a week challenge because of population.. If you already won or are along 1st to 2nd runner ups. You arent supposed to participate anymore that way you give way for new talents. My ideas are scattered in my head but I hope it made little sense though. I just love the work you guys have put up and wouldnt want it stop.. @luzcypher
It’s a sad state of affairs when less than half of the posts qualify, hopefully they get bored of trying to cheat the system soon.
