RE: Steemit Open Mic Week 59 - Record Your Performance And Win Steem - Sponsored By @pfunk And @luzcypher

Nice job. Very creative choice. I almost played the same song on my drums this week (with some other levels mixed in), but decided to play it safe. Good thing I held off since you'd have stolen the show.

How random that we were both thinking of that song this week! You should totally do it sometime on the drums, that would be awesome. Also, congrats on your first entry! I’m so stoked that you joined open mic!

Yea quite random. Get @raised2be with his guitar and we can all collaborate on a cross country cover of it. I can change all of the triggers on my electric kit's module to any sound in the world, so I could even load up the noises from the game if I wanted to get intense about it.

Oh man, doing some kind of cross collaboration for open mic would be sick! How would that work? Would we just send you the separate audio or video files of us each playing the track?

All I need is an MP3 file with you both on it. I play along with it in my set's module and it records it all together live via USB input & video on my Macbook. My output would be exactly like in my post, so you can hear the other elements quite nicely. I don't know how to edit/split videos, but mine could be the master for audio, and you can split screen you two easily I bet. The most critical thing for me would be that the audio is perfectly in time using a metronome that's not heard on the MP3. Yuck, I know...

Can chat on Steemit Chat any time under mattcoin8 to pick a song and then be the first official Steemit cross country band!

This is kind of embarrassing, but I actually haven’t joined steemit chat yet! I know, lame. Not sure if @raised2b has yet either. Maybe this will be a good push for us to get over there! That way we can chat about more details. I’m sure we can figure out a way to record together and maybe keep a metronome in our headphones or something. If we want cool vocals, I might be able to convince a friend to do some harmonies with us.
