To be safe, is it ok if I just have a sign with the Steemit Open Mic week # in the backdrop of the video? The reason is that I have to hook up my electronic drums to feed into my laptop that's synching up in real time with the video being shot. I don't think I have a microphone to input into my drum module to even try to say the opening line. More of a technical snafu given the electronic drums setup vs a room mic.

Backdrop is good but you can also mouth the words Steemit Open Mic Week 58 before you play and also use your right hand for the number 5 and then both hands to show the number 8 since we have visual recording of your sign language without your vocals. Those are also ways, as well as touching the sign in the background so we know it is not a clever, professionally placed visual-graphic effect haha
Thanks! Good ideas. In some practice runs, I was pointing to it with my drumsticks, but will press on the paper to show it's legit.
You're very welcome, that sounds like a master plan lol :)
As long as it is not edited in after making the video and is actually a part of the video so we know it is really you playing. For more details about the rules read, What Are The Rules To Enter Steemit Open Mic And Why Do We Have Rules Anyways
