Opera browser developers announced the release of a new version of their software for Android devices, through which users will be able to transfer and receive assets in blockchains Bitcoin and TRON (TRX and TRC10-tokens).
Until recently, the Opera browser's built-in cryptocurrency wallet supported only Ethereum and ERC tokens.
"Now we make our software more versatile, adding bitcoin and TRON to it," the company writes, noting that this step should be seen as the development of its initiative to connect the mass user to Web 3 services.
In addition to executing transactions, users of the Opera beta version for Android can view the history of their transactions. They also had the option of making transactions with bitcoin on web pages, thanks to the "experimental integration of Web 3", which, according to the developers, should allow them to pay with bitcoin online.
Crypto wallet and Web3 browser appeared in Opera for Android in December 2018. In April 2019, the same functionality was implemented in the desktop version of the software, and in June - in Opera Touch on iOS.
To use the new features, users need to download a beta version of Opera from Google Play. The crypto wallet is available for Android 6.0 and above.
