The popular internet browser Opera will become the first web interface to add native support an Ethereum portfolio, the company said.

The browser maker said on Wednesday that his "new version of the Opera browser for Android ... combines encryption functionality easy to use with support for the API Ethereum Web3".

The browser is currently in private beta, for which the company is now inviting new members to join.

This means that users no longer need to open a new browser or download a separate extension to send, receive and pay cryptocurrencies- now they can do it directly from an alternation in their browsers on Android mobile devices.

It is an ad especially useful for developers of decentralized web applications - more commonly known as dapps, since the new functionality of the browser indicates that users can now more easily interact with dapps being built in the Ethereum network.

Charles Hamel, the product leader in Crypto Opera, said in a statement:

"We believe the web today will be the interface for the decentralized web of tomorrow ... By becoming the first major browser to open to Web 3.0, we would like to contribute to making the internet more accessible future."

Privacy by default.
The company has been a strong advocate for user privacy, integrating even a VPN in the Opera desktop browser, and said that this commitment was extended to the development of its portfolio of cryptocurrencies without custody.

"Privacy is a very important aspect for browsers in general, but even more for the encryption users. Our goal was to create a portfolio of cryptocurrencies controlled by the user to provide enhanced control and security of the keys used to control the portfolio funds. "

In addition to storing private keys on the device, a basic feature offered by reputable mobile wallets, Opera also requests permission from a user before exposing the information portfolio to individual websites, reducing the risk of phishing attacks and tracking third.

The portfolio also supports Progressive Web Apps (PWA), allowing developers to create the web of Dapp dApps without incorporate a wallet application or rely on the safety of the funds of its members to an external application portfolio.

Bitmain acquires the controlling stake in Opera.
The time of release is notable because it occurs only a few days after public documents revealed that the most valuable company in the world criptomoedas bought a major stake in Opera.

A few days ago, the team is TOPSaber reported that Bitmain - which was recently valued at $ 12 billion - invested $ 50 million in Opera, obtaining a controlling stake in the company, which must raise $ 115 million through its own public offering.

The news generated much speculation about the plans of Bitmain to the browser, including whether the company based in China - which is best known for its encryption hardware mining production and mining operations - launch support for mining within the browser.

This particular feature has not yet been announced, but today's announcement suggests that with Bitmain the helm, Opera could play an important role in helping to bring the cryptocurrency to the general public.
