Well, I am still a student and still learning. Typically you would want to scope your compost when it is done and before applying it. You are looking to find out what organism(s) are lacking in your compost and what succession your plant is (i.e. if its a cash crop like cannabis/ tomatoes or kale which both have different bacteria:fungal ratios) all the while trying have the soil biology help balance out the biology in your soil. Also trying to observe aerobic organisms vs anaerobic organisms. Compost is supposed to last for just 6 months after finishing it.
Biocomplete teas are tested throughout the brew.
I will learn more about the microscope over the next few months.
