Many institutions and communities produce high amounts of organic wastes such as food waste. These generated food wastes present special challenges, as they produce odours, unaesthetic surroundings and attract vermin especially rodents, thereby causing health hazards through transmission of sanitation related infections. As a result, a sound scientific approach in the management of food waste for improved environmental and public health status in is highly imperative. The use of biological-mechanical treatment of the organic waste (composting process) is considered most appropriate as the process results in a final product that is sanitized and stabilized, high in humic substances and can be beneficially applied to land. Food waste has high energy content, and the primary factor in treating food waste is the physico-chemical characteristics of substrate, including particle size and composition. Composting converts organic waste stream generated into very rich organic fertilizer that is useful for crops growth. Also, research has revealed that intensive use of agrochemicals mainly pesticides in natural environments have become a major concern as they are a leading cause of soil degradation. Hence, the use of organic fertilizer that does not contain agrochemicals would go a long way in preserving soil fertility.
Organicco limited is an organization whose aim is to raise funds for the development and promotion of green technology related products. The overall goal of the organization is to contribute to the production of food for the masses by utilizing sustainable and environmentally friendly methods which includes production of organic fertilizers for producing biomass fuel, animal feeds, renewable fuel and energy.

Despite its suitability for conduction of import-export purchase transactions, the expenses of opening, negotiating and other procedure of securing letter of credit is quite high and usually takes time. With the introduction of easiPayer technology, client purchases easiPayer tokens with fiat currencies on the easiPayer platform for the purpose of purchasing green tech products such as organic fertilizer. These tokens are held in the system and will only be released to the seller when the buyer confirms that goods are received in satisfactory condition. This method is reliable, secured and swift as opposed the traditional letter of credit. Buyers of Easipayer tokens get charged a transaction fee of 0.5% + mining fee. Conversion of received easipayer tokens by seller into fiat currencies on the platform also gets charged 1.5% transaction fee
