Wow, thanks for the kind words man. I met Satriani once at George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic at Lucas Ranch. He was really cool. It was right at the time his hit instrumental song was on the radio titled, Surfing With The Alien.

Surfing with the Alien was one of my favorite songs he's written. I also loved Always with You Always with Me. This piece reminds me of a lot of his work on that album. Great stuff, @luzcypher.

Thanks so much for listening

@luzcypher have you ever considered doing a video discussion on the whole creative process of how you came up with the riff, how it changed, how you layered the other pieces, etc.? I'm considering doing that with the flash fiction I have been doing. Personally, I'd be interested hearing about it.

If I could remember the creative process when I created it. Creating music for me is like taking a good shit. I get the job done and then tend to forget about it. I have even called up other musicians I've played with to ask them the lyrics to my own songs. It's embarrassing, but they remember them.

If I made a video while creating a song, that may work. Not set up to do it at the moment, but perhaps will be in the future. Thanks for the suggestion. It's a good idea.

Yeah man I remember that from the 80s, it was right around the time that movie Crossroads came out w/ Steve Vai.

Have you checked out his more recent stuff w/ Chickenfoot? Pretty cool stuff for a bunch of old guys haha....

That's right!

Sweet, thx for posting that....brings back memories.

Not to hijack your thread, but it reminded me of this epic faustian showdown.....
