OROVILLE DAM: "VERY SERIOUS PROBLEMS" ***WARNING: FAILURE MAY BE IMMINENT***

in #oroville6 years ago (edited)

Bob Bea is a UC Berkeley Engineering professor emeritus, one of the nation’s foremost forensic engineers, and the founder of Berkeley’s Center for Catastrophic Risk Management (CCRM).

According to Bea, failure of the Oroville Dam would be worse than Hurricane Katrina, the Deepwater Horizon disaster or the Challenger space shuttle explosion.

Furthermore, Bea says, "It would be the worst disaster in the history of the United States."

Additionally, "A breach at Oroville would send a wall of water down the Feather River, through the Sacramento Valley and ultimately into the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta. It would destroy towns along the Feather and Sacramento Rivers, flood major portions of Sacramento, and blow out levees throughout the Delta, permanently flooding much of the region."

That article and interview from late 2017, is now more URGENT than ever!
