LOL - this made me laugh pretty good...which I suppose is par for the course. I had my moment a couple of years back. I debated an explosive exit post, and then considered exactly what you've got here for the most part.
If I blow up and leave in a huff, people will mostly just laugh me off and forget about me...until I try to come back, and then they'll remember the hell out of me...
I have been spending so much time on my media server project lately, haven't been around at all. You sir, are one of the few people I actually think of outside the chain. There are a few others of course, people who have become actually real to me and whatever. I had a short stint of going back to old ways, but it was more of a "toe in the water" moment than a full resurgence. Ten plus years man...it only seems like a long time when you still think you want it.
Man, it's been 10 years since the last time I stuck my finger in an outlet...
...just doesn't have the same ring to it. Anyway, most of my dabblings just remind me that there's nothing to go back to, it's just an outlet in a bottle.
