RE: Where is Splinterlands going?

in #p2e3 years ago

During the hype, lot of fortune seekers had a glance view of the possibilities within Splinterlands, but for those who didn’t want to allocate a fair amount of wealth into a digital fantasy card collection the game had nothing to give afterwards the Bronze league earnings was deprived.

Thinking about this more deeply, I really do not want to be negative here, but I currently think that most people played and playing the game just/only for the rewards, and not for the fun, so there is no real interest in the game, as it used to be for other games.

With the decreasing player count, the demand is going the same direction both for renting and trading cards.

Sad, but true. And probably the decreased amount of rewards is the main reason for this. I still remember receiving a reward card for every completed quest in 2018 and in 2019. Nowadays the reward cards are rare. Usually we get various potions, which are worthless.
