Food packages have transformed over time and food vendors adapt as the evolotion thats over...
I miss the old leave system... Biodegradable, health benefits... Some people still use in along with other packaging systems.
And I love the new packages... Portable, heat retention.....
Famous Ahaban (leaf) package
Plastic take away packs
Aluminum Foils
It hasnt been that much good but at least it is much better.
hhhmmm, wish we could transform the leaves into the form of the packs and use that for all. I know it is possible
testy food
I bet you have not tasted it before, you would have increased the number of adjectives.

Ahaban is bae. The waakye sellers in my hood still use it.
Yeah, there are still some people around....
And I am glad they still do
Is quite unfortunate that my generation didn't come to meet the famous ahaban leaf package but i have heard a lot about it though and from the nonverbal cues that came with their talks it added something else to the food, made it more appetizing and delicious. In our contemporary society, these technologically sophisticated packages are killing us with too much carcinogenic effects
Aaawww, very sad but there are some few places around where they still sell with these but you know, the trend has changed. What used to be free in the past and is now more becoming expensive due to the health benefit they bring with it
The old system, despite some few disadvantages was more healthy both to the environment and to the consumers. These new packages are not biodegradable and it's one of the causes of the flood we see in our cities in Ghana. The new system is, forgetting the non biodegradibility of the packages are more convenient and simple to the consumers
I agree with you on that.
Most the rubbers and packs are not well disposed off and always find their ways in our drainage system and this is the major causes of flooding in our town and cities. It comes with an extra cost, the need for a new way to dispose off as compared to the former which can be used for mulch and even degrade on its own
True
wow wonderful dear @anaman there is a good thing for every one i think that Famous Ahaban (leaf) package is really awesome dish ..
but
there is a lot of condition that what type of food made and where we have picked and where he was store..
and i think it is a really good packing mathod..
first of all he use Aluminum foil and i think the preservative food can not old in Aluminum foil and when use it then used a plastic box.
And there is a really good mathod to preserve the food thank you dear @anaman
Regard: @mahmoodhassan
That is very true.. If you put the fool in the most expensive package and still make or prepare it in the worse condintions you really haven't changed anything.
it is just a coating you have placed on it and will still be contaminated.
Do they use leaves in packaging food in your area?
you say true but as you know that every person which he worked in food department could not packed the preserve food correctly in small department of food so if get this types of food then we have find lot of disease in our life because as you know that a food comes us in minimum two or three weeks and food was too much old in local box of food....
Still ahaban leaf 🍃 is bae 😂 😂
yeah, I don't know why but I will always choose that over other packages and It really helps the environment too.... Less plastics
I prefer it in the #Ahaban because of the nice flavor it adds to the food but over a long distance of transfer of the food I think the plastic and aluminum package will be preferable as much as food heat retension is needed @anaman
The looks reasonable.
But another thing I heard sometime back is that the leave helps in preventing Heart diseases.
They say with the heat from the food, the leaves release some stuff into which is really good for the body.
I think the next thing we should be looking at as engineers is, how can we convert the leaf material to replicate the aluminium or plastic package, probably in shape for convenience.
That's a good idea , engineering this will be great @anaman

Packaging rice for instance in leaves in the olden days might sound too
Outmoded but honestly speaking!!!!, it is the most healthiest way to package
food. @anaman
Evolution and change is constant
I think the ahaban was good seeing as it added flavour to the food but health-wise it wasnt the best. The plastic take away and aluminium fpils are better than the ahaban because they barely pose health threats.
By the way the food looks eatable...LOL
