This morning reading about the Cosmic Buddha I made this digital painting .... this is from a small statue we have in our kitchen window.

Thank you for the inspired work! Interesting how you enclose your buddha within a closed and what appears to be a traditional space. Maybe something to look into... maybe meaning there?

Should the Buddha be put in the garden ?

Whatever your "garden" looks like... if it is a traditional space .. so be it :D

I do not pretend to understand the ideology of Buddhism, but sense of perspective seems to be something that has great relativity. You could have chosen any color/form/subject.

From your reply, It seems like your choice was not a conscious one, but a reaction to your emotional response to the information you were reading. I am not a physiologist either...but maybe there is something to your decision to place the subject within the space you chose.

It would be interesting to see a series of paintings utilizing different color pallets and like a Rorschach study- form the environment as you are confronted with having to draw it.

.. Could be fun!

It's placed on a window sill in the kitchen overlooking the garden so it is something I see whenever I am washing dishes, chopping wood or carrying water.
