Beautiful work again @scrawly! Like the colors, red and green work well together as complementary colors :)
Do you use wet brushes?
Red and green is one of my top favourite colours combination :D.
I don't know what you mean by wet brushes, so probably no. I made this digital in Photoshop as usual.
Thank you Sander :).
Well in Photoshop you can set the brush tool to mixer brush tool which is like the paint is still wet and you can mix while painting. :)
Is this in modern Photoshop setting? I'm still using CS5 which is ancient and I don't know if there's any mixer here. It actually saddens me that it doesn't even have a permanent colour panel, which I know is present in the recent version.
Indeed, the mood and the vibe speaks for itself. Love the piece!
Thank you Edgar :D.
This is seriousely beautiful! Love the colors and the atmosphere ♥
Thank you patschwork :).

I like the atmosphere, and the reflection of water lololol nice job scrawl pretty decent
Thanks maya :).
This is really nice. Good colours.
Thank you choo :D.
I love this one, @scrawly ! The colours are so rich and so delicious, like I could almost taste them with my eyes * ___ * It looks like a strange and foreboding afternoon, a scene from a movie or a dream, with surrealistically beautiful world... <3
That water surface, caught and reflecting the dying light of the day carries great ambient, as if it presents a narrative even at the absence of a human character in the canvas. The scene itself has become an emotional presence * ____ *
I love the tall grass at the foreground. I can hear the swish-swish sound of people's legs trying to walk through them and how they must scratch against the skin so~
Very beautiful work <3 I love it!
Reading at your comment, I feel that the picture I made is not as good as the description you wrote spider :).
But thank you, I appreciate your support a lot <3.
This is a really splendid painting and I get a very nice sweet feeling by looking at this painting. Love the warm colors and the reflections in the water. Great job!
I am glad this painting brings you sweet feeling, because it speaks of gloom and doom to me.
Thank you Hetty :).
Wow @Scrawly, i love the painting you did, you did a great job, it seems very real.
Thank you very much Francis :).
I feel emotional looking at this artwork @scrawly , i dunno but it's something about reminiscing a past experience or... I can't explain it in words! You convey the emotion really well , Good job!
Enjoy your weekend <3
Hmm yes, I can see why you think about the past when you look into this picture. I'm glad you told me :).
I hope you have a great weekend yourself, Adelair :D.
I love the colors and the lighting. Excellent job! Do you use any fancy brushes or just the defaults Photoshop comes with?
I don't really use default Photoshop brushes because they don't behave like how I expect them to, so I have to fine tune them to my preference.
Thanks Theresa.
Same, I used to modify the brushes but my friend had all of the Kyle T Webster brushes that she let me download. I pretty much use those exclusively. He has a ton that mimic different tips of inking tools, pencils, art markers, etc.
Custom brushes are awesome, though the problem with them is that I have to relearn each brush all over again and memorise them, or they just clutter up the space and eat memory. Hehe, first world problem? XD
Hello scrawly, very good choice of colors for this landscape, the truth is that you have been great do not need to touch anything, and I understand when you say you no longer want to paint more leaves or herbs, sometimes we want to have so many details that we forget the essence of what I wanted Emos Express, a very relaxed sunset is what I feel seeing your work, certainly very good painting, I like it very much.
Thank you vicenteajb, I treasure your lengthy opinion about my painting :).
If I stretched out a lot Jajajajajaja
Wow, it looks so cool :O
i love it so much, the composition and the colors are just great, i feel the warm of the ambient ^^
Great work my friend :)
I'm always happy when you like my works, thank you kothy :D.
Lovely sunset! truly inspires! I think it's a very romantic drawing
Romantic drawing? That is surprising, but pleasant to know.
Thank you akarantain :).
Very beautiful, the sky to me seems otherworldly, I feel like I've just stepped off my spaceflight to discover a second home planet, I love it!
It is my intent to draw a scene that looks both real and fantastical so I am very happy to read your impression.
Thank you stuffing :).
Wow, I love this. The details and colours really compliment each other. You can really feel the different components and you get drawn to each particular sections/detail. I feel like this would be a great image for a jigsaw puzzle to complete then frame and hang it on the wall.
It has a nice summer evening feel after a long and busy day. Where everything starts to unwind and even though night will soon sweep the land, it would still feel pleasantly warm. But you better get inside soon because the mosquitoes are coming out for a mass dinner.
Ahhh your description is so vivid, I can almost see it unfurling in a movie. Very lovely sojuchan <3.
Except the mossies... ugh, thankfully they never come out in the winter.

I'm scrolling back through your blog, when I should be working 😜, and with all the other pieces of yours that I want to stop and admire, this one made me click the thumbnail pic.
It's gorgeous, Scrawly! I want to be there to soak in the beauty of the sunset while listening to the water and the light ruffle of leaves. Your painting is lush and deep, as though it'll wrap around me the more I stare at it. (Which considering it's all bare trees and snow where I am, would be a welcome thing. 😁)
Thank you brisby, though I'm always self conscious when people check my old drawing lol. Not sure if it's an artist thing or just me, but old art is unappealing to look at.
I'm glad you like this one enough to give me a beautiful comment. I hope it might give you some virtual warmth :).
Ohhh! Also since you're browsing my old stuff... did you see my Frankenstein? :D :D
