RE: Fossils anyone?

in #paleontology9 years ago

Every time I see a bird, I think of dinosaurs, the bones look so similar. I'd love to find one of these one day, or any ancient artifact really. Africa has insane ancient sites and who knows how many relics like this

Sort:

Remember, dinosaurs never went extinct. At least not avian dinosaurs. They have evolved into birds. In fact there are some of today's birds like emus which are remarkably similar.

It's only non-avian dinosaurs that went extinct. By the way, we now know that many non-avian dinosaurs had feathers too. So all that about T-Rex being a reptilian monster with dry skin? False. May have had feathers!

The stuff coming out of China's limestone deposits these days is completely amazing in this regard.

Exactly! Gobi Desert is now the top hunting ground for paleontology. Both the China and Mongolia. My favorite discovery has been Zhenyuanlong - velociraptors with wings! Yikes!

have ever heard that nigeria in africa has one of the highest number of natural resourses in the world. check it out (facts).

That makes t-trex sound cuddly and cute. damn, now I want a baby t-Rex

You should come visit me then.
