Since I am already going to trust the judgement of each team member with how much to reward each post I am willing to also trust in each team member's good faith belief that the content they are rewarding is in at least some way "geeky".
What do you consider "geeky" topics?

Posts under #STEM and #SteemSTEM can be rather geeky.
Yes. That's one possible way of finding content that is geeky.
usually I say when in doubt go by the dictionary definition but most dictionaries don't really define geek as well as they could in my opinion. Doing a basic internet search of "geek culture" should give you the gist of what topics geeky covers.
