Today I bring you a post specially dedicated to those lovers of cats, although the crazy Simpson cat comes to mind, and that you do not understand anything when you tell me that someone is a lover of cats. I introduce you to Wakuneco a Japanese artist who is very attached to hyperrealism, makes 3D portraits or you can see as a kind of sculpture but is only inspired by cats.
Wakuneco is the artistic name of this artist who has preferred to be anonymous and not show herself publicly. She is an expert in Wakuneco which in Japanese means cat painting.
She possesses a fresh and innovative technique, currently works under the orders, or buy some of her works at auctions. It all started as a simple hobby that has led her to international fame.
The first works were of her 3 cats, whom she immortalized in their respective paintings, at the beginning she was an illustrator until she got to know the cloth felt and gave it a surprising use.
Since it was nothing strange for her to make pencil portraits, she began to make the sketches and then translate them into a real figure! However, she realized that making the body of these felines was not as much fun as replicating their faces.
He only does portraits, he doesn't make sculptures of entire cat bodies. He's really on another level. For this, he uses a technique that allows him to mold fabric while inserting "hair by hair" the pattern of the cat's coat he is portraying and in the end what we get is a very real 3D portrait of our beloved feline. And as it is logical, he has mounted his business of "cat portrait" in which he receives orders of all parts of the world and that has a very long waiting list but that unfortunately only attends orders in Japan (but he says that he is thinking like to do that you can ask. And is that, watching the video, it is very clear to you that this is a slow and laborious process, and that it is precisely this laboriousness that gives the results it obtains. At the moment I haven't been able to find out how much one of these portraits costs and how long it takes, but of course I'd be interested in having one from my and if you're interested in knowing more about Wakuneco's work.
Her work became popular in Japan, stopping doing work for herself and becoming a controversial artist for not showing up, and known as climbing on social networks where she has shared her work since its inception, in her youtube account you can see how is the process of development.
If you want to place an order you can do so through their website where you only have to set aside your picture or send the best picture of your pet to then order the order, and although there are people who place orders, sell more pictures at auctions.
So don't forget to send the photo of your cat to immortalize it in a portrait, really the result is amazing, is a 3D portrait of your cat, which you can take with you or place at home like a picture or portrait holder.
It will be worth the effort that puts this artist is really amazing and the result is identical to your cat, do not lose to have a hyperrealistic sculpture.
