This is a very important topic, but is exaggerated.
The data clearly shows that amazonian forest fires are cumulatively lower than previous years (there are also years in which there have been less fires, but the point is that this year is not exceptional).
Again, let me say that this is of course not okay, but news stories like this are clearly politicized and biased.
