Whaling In The New Steem Economy
Yes, my friend. Even you can become a whale in the new STEEM economy.
Almost single-handedly, Steem-Engine has changed the STEEM economy overnight with the unleashing of tribes (community-based steemit clones armed with their own tokens who's values are derived by STEEM). Now, specialized communities are capable of decentralizing STEEM's perceived powerhouses in ways previously unthought of just weeks earlier.
How so, you ask? Because community stake it what matters in the end. And with new communities, everyone can become meaningful influences in the communities they care most about. At the same time, the ever expansion of new communities makes it ever more difficult for any one particular person to equally dominate them all.
Take PALnet.io for example, the more fair token distribution (relative to STEEM) and subsequent claimdrop dump allows many to STILL acquire larger holdings to stake for years of use down the road. And why not? After all, PALnet.io will begin to look and feel at least on equal footing, if not better, than Steemit in the months and years to come.
Spreading the Power
Just as in every country, not everyone will be the powerful official that influences the nation. But one may become a powerful local leader aiding in paving the direction of the local community that matters most.
In many ways STEEM is developing along this path, where local power can be just as influential as important as national power.
For our STEEM nation, who's to say which communities will prove to drive our progress forward. But we do know that the opportunities to participate are only beginning to come about!
